The first owners wife died in the house on July 20th 1941 after a 10 day illness. She had her calling hours and funeral inside the house.

We found evidence of a haunting. 2 EVP’s
Conclusion:
In the opinion of the attending members of the MGHS that there is a female and a male presence in this home. The presence is benevolent in nature and might not even know that it (mortal body) has passed away. It is in our opinion this ghost poses no real threat to the home owner, family or property.

This house was built in 1818, It was used as a way stop inn during the civil war. Two people that lived there was named Daniel (both the grandfather and grandson was named Daniel ) No other history is known)
Investigation Summery:
We found evidence of a haunting. We found one EVP. While we was downstairs we would hear a faint conversation happening up stairs. At one point I went upstairs and heard footsteps walking away from me into another room. When I asked Rick (who was downstairs under the room) he heard the floor creaking as if someone was walking above him.
Conclusion:
In the opinion of the attending members of the MGHS that there is a male presence in this home. The presence is benevolent in nature and might not even know that it (mortal body) has passed away. It is in our opinion this ghost poses no real threat to the home owner, family or property.
We feel that a follow up investigation would be beneficial and next year we are going to try to make it back down there to do a do a follow up.

• About 7 other people that have witnessed paranormal activities.
• My niece has seen shadows in the one bedroom along with her blankets being tugged off of her.
• seeing something with red eyes in bed next to her.
• A apparition of a small boy in the front room.
• black figures in what is now our bedroom.
• I had a friend over visiting when she thought it was just the two of us at home and asked me who else was home because she saw a shadow moving at the top of the stairs.
• My husband, after almost 19 years of being here has been hearing someone calling his name.
• Most of what has been heard or seen have been in two of the upstairs bedrooms and in the upstairs hallway.
• A apparition of a young man and woman at the foot of the bed (Master bedroom)
• The one bedroom where the most has happened is the coldest room in the house as for any other temperature changes.
• The apparition of the young man and woman I saw was very vivid and they were solid. He was tall and thin, very short, light color hair. She had was heavier in weight than the man but not chunky and had shoulder length light color, sandy blonde hair.
• The 3 dark shadows were next to my bed and was tall, medium and short. They were all dark, I could only see the solid forms but no color or any face.
• My daughter and her husband took that as their bedroom after that when they lived with us for awhile and she saw a figure by the closet door.
• Friend of the family has seen a shadow at the top of the stairs.
• Items being moved.

We feel that a follow up investigation would be beneficial.
Now before any case we research the house, find out who has ever lived there from the current owner to the very first owner, then we look for if anyone has died in the house.
…..and sure enough we did find one (see picture below)
So one day, shortly ofter our investigation the client and her daughter (The only 2 females was in the whole house) decided to try doing some EVP recording of their own. In the recording 14 seconds in to the first track they got a class A EVP of a male with a deep voice calling for “Eve”. The woman who died in the house was named Eva, we think that Eve might have been a pet name or a shorter way of calling for her.

History of Site:
The school was in use from 1883 to 1956
In 1956 the new high school was built and old one was closed.
The school was bought by the Tuscarawas country road and bridge dept.
later the current client bought it.
Investigation Summery:
During our first investigation to the school house we found:
No evidence in the way of EVPs.
No evidence in the way of photo 35mm or digital.
We found possible evidence on 8mm video; 2 small glowing orbs streaked across the room (kitchen like room) the first happened 1 min 39 sec into the video the first orb appeared for 2 secs.
The next one appeared 47 mins 57 secs and lasted 2 secs.
We also had video camera #1 in the garage shut it self off.
A 2nd investigation is needed to validate any paranormal existence with in the school house.
During the 2nd investigation we had video camera #2 battery drained to 0% charge.
No evidence in the way of photo 35mm or digital.
We found possible evidence of EVPs, It is a class C, we can not confirm nor deny what is being said, we believe it to be saying a name, Michelle. We have ruled out the possibility of it being one of our voices.
Upon reviewing the Digital recorder we have found evidence of a haunting. We have found a woman’s voice; this was recorded at the top of the basement stairs, while Christine and Gary were heading downstairs. The woman was saying “Up here.” As to let them know where she was.
Further investigation will be need, but the house does have paranormal activities.
